AddLab produces 3D printed demonstration part available for commercial use

In today's local newspaper Eindhovens Dagblad, Daan Kersten shows the first 3D printed part available for commercial use created by AddLab. The AddLab Team managed to transform a conventional design of a heat exchanger into an optimized 3D printable model that is produced by the SLM 280 machine in the AddLab. This part demonstrates how the 3D printer eliminates all the extra steps required by conventional modes of production. In contrary to its conventional counterparts, this 3D printed heat exchanger is produced in one single part. In AddLab the partners are currently testing the possibilities of 3D metal printing.
